Aims

We are committed to providing a secure, caring and challenging learning environment in which girls are encouraged to strive for excellence in all that they do. Respect for others lies at the heart of the school community, within which the potential and talent of each individual can be recognised, nurtured and realised. At St Margaret's education is seen as a partnership between pupils, parents and teachers.
We are not a Faith School
Although the name might suggest otherwise, St Margaret’s is not a faith school and has no particular religious affiliation, welcoming girls of all faiths and none.

170 girls - and every one outstanding

“Pupils’ self-understanding is excellent and meets the school’s aims to provide a secure environment that enables pupils to flourish and grow in self-confidence. They are aided in this by the positive support they receive from teachers and the whole school community”
ISI Inspection Report, June 2022
“What struck me when I first looked around, and what still remains true five years later, is the girls all seem to have that wonderful quiet confidence. Not that brash sense of entitlement that some wealthy kids have.”
Parent
"The small friendly and homely atmosphere allows the girls to achieve whatever they can - but in a safe, non-confrontational environment."
