Joining at 11+ (Year 7)
11+ Admission for September 2022
There is a four-step process to an 11+ application for a place at St Margaret’s: The Registration Form and Fee, The Reference, The Test and The Interview.
The Registration Form and Fee
Simply fill in the Registration Form on this website and pay a Registration Fee of £100.00 by BACS or cheque.
We ask your daughter’s current school to provide a reference for feedback on her social and academic performance over the previous year.
St Margaret’s is part of the London 11+ Consortium (http://london11plus.co.uk/), along with the following schools: Channing, Francis Holland (Sloane Square and Regents Park), Godolphin and Latymer, More House, Northwood College for Girls, Notting Hill & Ealing High, Queens College, Queens Gate, South Hampstead High, St Augustine’s Priory, St Helen’s and St James Senior Girls.
All 11+ 2022 applicants applying to St Margaret’s and one or more of the above schools will need to sit the Independent Schools Examinations Board (ISEB) Common Pre-Tests, either at their current school (if it is holding the exam) or at one of the Consortium schools (candidates will only need to sit the exam once regardless of how many of the above schools they have applied to). Once you have registered with us, we will contact you to inform us of where you want your daughter to sit her ISEB Common Pre-Tests. If you have applied for schools not on the Consortium list, please refer to their websites for exam details.
We will invite candidates to an interview, either online or in person depending on the Government restrictions at the time, in December and January.
